Darren Hudson is Technical Director at AGD Systems, bringing a wealth of experience in product innovation, engineering leadership, and the delivery of cutting-edge traffic technology solutions.

Appointed Technical Director in 2024, Darren is responsible for shaping The Traffic Group’s technical strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the continued development of market-leading products. He combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of industry needs, enabling the business to deliver solutions that are both commercially impactful and technically advanced.

Prior to this role, Darren spent over seven years as Senior Projects Manager at Traffic Group Technology, where he led the delivery of a series of strategic new product developments for Traffic Group Signals. These included the RC2, Evo1, and Metro platforms, alongside enabling technologies such as AutoGreen, Active Channel Management (ACM), Signal Studio, and the ‘Pro’ range of signal controllers.

His work has contributed to multiple UK and world-first innovations, with several developments achieving patented status and driving significant market disruption.

Darren is recognised for his ability to translate complex customer challenges into practical, high-performance engineering solutions.

By working closely across multidisciplinary teams, he consistently delivers technically excellent products that push industry boundaries and set new standards for intelligent traffic management systems.
